1. Introduction and acceptance

These Terms govern Jobbi, a marketplace technology service operated by VantaGate Pty Ltd, trading through the Jobbi marketplace brand (VantaGate, Jobbi, we, us or our). They apply with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines and role- or product-specific terms linked below.

By creating an account or using Jobbi you agree to the terms presented to you. If you do not agree, do not use Jobbi.

  • Jobbi is designed for Australian users aged 18 or older.
  • A business user confirms authority to act for the named business.
  • Provide accurate registration details and keep login credentials secure.

2. Accounts and marketplace roles

Customers publish genuine service, supply or supply-and-installation requests. A Jobbi business profile can offer services, goods or materials, or both. Capability selections control relevant features but are not endorsements.

  • Do not create misleading, duplicate or impersonating accounts.
  • Businesses must maintain licences, qualifications, permits and insurance required for their activity.
  • Jobbi may request proportionate eligibility information for safety, fraud prevention or compliance.

3. Jobbi's marketplace-only role

Jobbi provides discovery, requests, profiles, bids, quotes, messaging, reviews, promotions and support technology. Unless expressly stated for a separate product, Jobbi does not perform, supply, supervise or control the underlying work or goods.

Providers and suppliers are independent users, not Jobbi employees, workers, agents, partners or representatives merely because they use Jobbi.

  • Jobbi does not guarantee quality, suitability, availability, identity, credentials, licensing, insurance, price, safety, payment or legal compliance.
  • Jobbi does not guarantee leads, contact, selection, sales, work or income.
  • Users must make their own checks and decisions appropriate to the request.

4. Requests, listings and open categories

Requests must be genuine, clear and relevant. Jobbi supports lawful niche and custom categories so an unusual legitimate service is not excluded merely because it is unfamiliar.

  • No illegal, unsafe, deceptive, infringing or prohibited requests, goods or media.
  • Upload only material you own or may lawfully use.
  • Keep phone numbers, email addresses and bypass instructions out of public and pre-selection fields.
  • Jobbi may reclassify, pause or remove content for safety, legality or relevance.

5. Bids, quotes and negotiation

Eligible active members may submit unlimited bids or quotes without lead credits, per-bid fees or job-value commission. Each bid or quote is information from that user, not a Jobbi price or recommendation.

  • Accurately state price, GST treatment, inclusions, exclusions, availability and assumptions.
  • Do not use bait pricing, fake bids, irrelevant quotes, automation abuse or spam.
  • A promoted position changes visibility only; it is not a quality endorsement.

6. Selection and the direct user agreement

When a customer selects a provider or supplier, those users form or negotiate their own agreement for the underlying service or supply. They should record scope, price, timing, variations, cancellations, safety and payment arrangements suitable to the transaction.

Jobbi is not normally a party to that agreement. Direct contact details may be shared privately after selection under Jobbi's privacy controls.

  • Customers should verify identity, authority, credentials, licences and insurance where relevant.
  • Providers and suppliers should assess scope, access, site and safety requirements.
  • A Jobbi selection does not guarantee that work will proceed or be completed.

7. Direct payments and completion documents

Jobbi does not normally process, hold or escrow the price for underlying work or goods. Users arrange payment directly and remain responsible for invoices, receipts, tax, refunds, chargebacks and payment disputes.

A Jobbi-generated completion or invoice-style document records marketplace information. It is not proof of payment, tax advice or a Jobbi guarantee.

  • Retain your own contract, tax and payment records.
  • Providers and suppliers must issue legally compliant tax invoices where required.
  • Do not transfer funds where fraud or account compromise is suspected.

8. Completion, reviews and reputation

Jobbi may ask both sides to confirm completion and provide reciprocal reviews under the Reviews Policy.

  • Double-blind publication may hold reviews until both submit or a review period ends.
  • Paid promotion never changes ratings, review counts or completed-activity statistics.
  • Jobbi may investigate and restrict manipulated, unlawful or policy-breaching reviews.

9. User content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you lawfully upload and grant Jobbi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence for the period reasonably required to host, resize, display, moderate and distribute it for operating, securing and promoting Jobbi.

  • You warrant that you hold necessary rights and permissions.
  • Do not expose confidential or personal information unnecessarily.
  • Jobbi branding, software and original content remain owned by VantaGate or its licensors.

10. Conduct, moderation and account action

Users must follow the Community Guidelines and Prohibited Services Policy. Jobbi may use reports, automated signals and authorised human review to identify risk.

  • No harassment, discrimination, threats, scams, impersonation, fake activity, spam, malicious code or review manipulation.
  • Jobbi may remove content, limit features, suspend or terminate accounts proportionately, including immediately for serious risk.
  • Moderation does not make Jobbi the supervisor of underlying work.

11. AI Help, ranking and sponsored content

AI Help may answer routine questions, classify or summarise cases and recommend escalation. It can be wrong and is not a lawyer, emergency service or final serious-enforcement decision-maker.

Ranking may use category, location, recency, interests, profile completeness and marketplace activity. Sponsored placements are clearly labelled and governed by the Promotion Terms.

  • Promotion does not guarantee impressions, contact, selection, sales or revenue.
  • Sensitive attributes are not used to target promoted offerings.
  • Organic relevance and customer controls continue to apply.

12. Complaints, blocking and disputes

Users can block another user, report content or open a support case. Jobbi may assist with platform records and policy enforcement but does not promise to determine legal liability or resolve the underlying direct-payment dispute.

  • Preserve relevant messages, scope, photos, invoices and payment records.
  • Contact 000 for immediate danger and police for suspected crime.
  • Consumer, tribunal, court, regulator and professional remedies remain available.

13. Availability and third parties

Jobbi may maintain, change, suspend or discontinue functionality and does not promise uninterrupted or error-free access. Supabase, OpenAI, hosting, stores and later-configured providers have their own terms and availability. Third-party links are not endorsements.

14. Statutory rights, disclaimers and liability

Nothing in this document excludes, restricts or modifies a consumer guarantee, right, remedy or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Jobbi excludes implied warranties that may lawfully be excluded and is not responsible for independent acts, omissions, goods, services or payment defaults of users. Any lawful limitation of a non-excludable guarantee applies only in the manner permitted by law.

  • A provider or supplier may separately owe statutory obligations to a customer.
  • Do not rely on Jobbi as a substitute for legal, professional, safety or technical advice.

15. Responsibility for breach

To the extent lawful and reasonable, you are responsible for loss suffered by Jobbi arising directly from your unlawful use, material breach, infringement or fraud. This does not require compensation for loss caused by Jobbi to the extent the law does not permit it.

16. Suspension, termination and survival

You may stop using Jobbi and request account closure. Jobbi may act under the Suspension Policy. Existing direct user obligations do not disappear merely because an account closes. Terms concerning records, IP, disputes, liability and legal rights survive where their nature requires it.

17. Changes, notices and acceptance records

The effective and update dates appear above. Material changes may require re-acceptance. Jobbi records the document identifier and acceptance timestamp where the acceptance system applies. Notices may be delivered in-app, by email or through the service.

18. General and contact

These Terms and incorporated policies form the agreement about Jobbi. If part is invalid, the remainder continues to the extent possible. Delay is not waiver.

  • Additional verified company, jurisdiction or service-provider information will be published before Jobbi’s public launch.
